Why you want to be a contributing writer on Simply Audree Kate: I would like to become a contributing writer on Simply Audree Kate because I am in love with fashion. I have recently started pursuing my dream as a fashion journalist and I believe this would be the best place to start. My desire in life is to become involved in the fashion industry. This blog would lead me to fulfilling my dream.
Your style icon(s): My style icon is more individualized. I get ideas from fashion blogs, Instagram, fashion magazines or store websites (Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, etc etc). I usually find a common style and spice it up in my own way. My style icons are ones on the internet-such as clothing items I find on Pinterest or Polyvore.
What is your personal style: My personal style is best described as trendy chic. I like to try the trends that are “in” yet I put my own twist on it. For example, I am a HUGE fan of color. I will try to incorporate either jewelry or a pop of color in all of my outfits. In addition, I like to add a vintage look to my outfits as well. I have a knack for taking “granny” clothes and making it look like something fresh out of a catalog. I am big on finding things on sale or finding a cheaper version of a popular trend. I am still trying to find out exactly what my style is, but it is definitely developing and opening my eye to the styles that are up and coming.
Clothing item I can’t live without is: I can’t live without my lace crop top, mint shorts, white dress or black dress. I pair my mint shorts with almost everything. A lace crop top is extremely versatile and can be paired with shorts, jeans, skirts or even a maxi skirt. I cannot live without my white dresses because it is easy to transition from a casual outfit to a business outfit or any other occasion. You can dress it up or down and it will look stunning! A little black dress is something every girl needs in her closet. It’s a fashion must.
Favorite beauty item: I cannot live without my lip gloss. I have so many colors that it is absolutely insane. You can throw it on when you’re in a hurry and rock it with anything you wear.
Biggest Celeb Crush: As of right now, my biggest celebrity crush would have to be Justin Timberlake. He can sing, dance and act–total triple threat. Another thing that stands out about him is his style. He has such a unique and well-known style that looks great. He’s the kind of guy that dresses the way I would want my boyfriend to!
Every women should own: Every woman should own a LBD, a white button down shirt, a pencil skirt, a denim jacket and a paid of colored shorts. All of these items are extremely versatile and can be perfect for any occasion! Every girl deserves to have her own style and show the world her style.
