Meet the Team Behind Simply Audree Kate

I strongly believe in the power of numbers, community and collaboration. I hired my first intern, Kendra in 2016 after a spontaneous coffee date. We briefly met on through a panel I was speaking at and she asked to grab coffee. I ended up creating the internship right then and there for her. I was leaving my magazine job at the time and needed help with social media, sponsorships and brainstorming—it was the extra help I really needed to really start moving the blog forward. Over the past couple of years I have had close to 15 interns, a few freelancers and now a team of professional creative contractors. I have been so grateful to have an incredible group of people who have helped make Simply Audree Kate and Audree Kate Studios what they are today. It is definitely not a one-woman show, and these people have helped integrate new programs, content and ideas for all of you.

Below I’m showcasing (aka bragging about) the current Audree Kate Studios & Simply Audree Kate teams—from my intern team, photographer and designers, it’s a group of talented creatives! We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for 2019, so cheers to my team! xo

Lauren Gragson – Freelance Writer

@laurenn__renee

Hi, I’m Lauren Gragson! I started as an intern at SimplyAudreeKate.com in 2016, and now I’m a Freelance Writer! I’m a senior at Northern Arizona University majoring in Merchandising & Advertising; minoring in Journalism. When I graduate in May I hope to move to NYC and pursue a career in the fashion industry. Currently, I’m interning at Society19 and in the past I’ve interned at V Magazine and Redbook Magazine. I can’t wait to see what the future holds! xx

Megan Renkel – Styling Intern

@meganrenkel

Hey guys! My name is Megan Renkel and I am the styling intern for Audree Kate Studios! I am a senior at the University of Iowa (very different than New York, I know!) and I am graduating in May with my BA in Journalism and Mass Communication. I’ve always dreamt of working in the fashion industry and my university didn’t give me a lot of opportunities to explore that – SO – I created my own fashion blog so I could stand out and land my dream internship. (Spoiler, I got it!!) I’ve been with Audree since last May and she has been the best mentor I could ask for. I have worked on some incredible sets assisting Audree with models, clothing and all of the suitcases that come along with us. I was also able to attend New York Fashion Week last year in place of Audree while she was home for her brothers wedding. (Best week of my life, BTW.) Before I landed this sweet gig with SAK I interned at a few different places back home. I worked as an ambassador for a handful of clothing brands and wrote for CollegeFashionista. I tried to get as much fashion experience as possible while living in the deep midwest. When I graduate I will be moving away from Iowa (finally) and I will find myself back in NYC with Audree or pursuing another career path in Chicago. I’m still on the fence so if you have any advice, send it my way! I am super pumped because in just a few weeks you can find me back in the city with Audree for NYFW once again! If you have any questions about how an Iowa gal landed her dream in NYC feel free to slide into my DMs! Talk soon!

XO Megan

Claire Andrews – Social Media Intern

@claireeandrews

Hi! My name is Claire Andrews and I am from South Carolina! I am a sophomore studying marketing at LIM College here in New York City . In the past, I have worked for a small luxury cashmere brand named Minnie Rose as a retail intern. I aspire to one day hold a marketing position for a luxury fashion brand. (Saint Laurent being my dream!) Last semester, I was a styling intern intern for Audree at Audree Kate Studios. This semester, I have a new role as Social Media Intern, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what 2019 has in store for me at Simply Audree Kate!

Mason Huckabee

@masonehuckabee

Hi, y’all!! I enjoy hiking with my husky, singing really loudly in my car, listening to Harry Potter related podcasts, traveling to new places, my Ipod, and sending funny tweets to my friends.  I go to Texas Tech University, majoring in Graphic Design with a concentration in Photography and a minor in General Business. I worked with the SAK team this past summer as social media intern, while also taking some campaign pics! My goal after college is to become a wedding/engagement photographer (so, HMU if you got that ring 🙂 )!

Brooke Kozelou – Styling Intern

@just.bkozz

Hey guys, I’m Brooke Kozelou, a styling intern for Audree Kate Studios! I am a senior at Arizona State University majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, as soon as I got the position working for Audree, I packed up my life and made the move to the Big Apple and am now surrounded by endless opportunities! With graduation approaching, I plan to work with PR/Influencer relations, while working towards starting my own brand that’ll be just like my personal style, kinda street, kinda girly. Can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for the SAK team!

Kate March – Styling Intern

@katemarchh

My name is Kate March and I’m a senior at Pace University studying Global Marketing with a minor in Fashion Marketing. At a young age I knew I always wanted to work in the fashion industry. In my free time I like to read a lot, relax at home with a magazine, and shop. My plans for after school are to hopefully continue on the stylist path!

Mackenzie Adams – Styling Intern

@mac.kenzieadams

Hi! My name is Mackenzie and I am a sophomore at LIM College. I study fashion media and after I graduate I hope be director of social media or manager of influencer relationship, for a fashion company. I also work part time at Rent the Runway! In my free time I love going to spin class and trying new restaurants with my friends.

Krystal Serdinsky – Styling Intern

@krysserd

I am a student at LIM majoring in visual studies formally known as the visual merchandising program. After graduating I would love to work in product development as well as freelance as a stylist, mostly doing editorial work. In my free time I like thrifting with my friends, traveling, painting, and being active. A really big goal of mine is to continue educating myself on sustainability and actively pursuing a less wasteful lifestyle! I hope to incorporate that into my future work.

In addition to our small army of interns, I have worked with some really amazing creatives the past year:

Ashley Gallerani – Photographer

@ashleygalleraniphotography

I have worked with Ashley the past year and she has photographed a majority of my blog campaigns, and we also shoot together for styling projects. Here are some of my favorite shots we’ve done together this past year!

Austin Wade – Graphic Designer

@astn.wade

Austin has been a key role in the team the past year. He designed the Fashion Fundamentals eBook and The Holiday Edit magazine this past year and I’m really excited to continue working with him in 2019. He is currently based in Arizona (fun fact: he was a member of the fashion student organization I co-founded in college) and just launched his own streetwear label @awade.works. Make sure to check out his stuff!

Shelby Cotton – Video Editor

Shelby is possibly one of my favorite people I’ve met in New York. We actually both went to Arizona State University, but never met until I moved to New York. She’s an incredibly talented film maker and editor and has edited all of the Simply Audree Kate videos the past year. She has an insane eye for detail and I can’t wait to see what we work on this year!

Kasey Miller- Marketing Consultant

@kaseyjoymiller

Kasey is probably the biggest catalyst of why Simply Audree Kate exists today. We met freshman year of college and Kasey asked me to model in a shoot with her for a couple local photographers (see below!). From there, things quickly fell into place. The photographers encouraged me to start a blog to document my styling, they asked me to style for them and the rest was history. Recently Kasey started Park St. Studio with her husband and they’re a creative power duo. Her husband Kory designs, and Kasey oversees all marketing and sales.

I asked Kasey to help me with marketing during the launch of the holiday magazine and have now asked her to help me going forward! I love having her insight and ideas on how to grow my businesses and I honestly feel so comfortable with her. We have some pretty exciting things up our sleeves, so much sit tight 🙂
