I am headed back to Arizona tomorrow for an exciting weekend, my sister’s wedding! I was able to capture her entire bachelorette festivities on the blog (here), and I can hardly believe that it’s already time for the wedding! I’ve been asked a few times about wedding wear, so I thought it was perfect timing to showcase some wedding fashion for fall! I am going to touch on three main types of weddings: Black Tie (formal, evening, etc.), City Chic (modern, chic, etc.) and Casual (outdoor, small town, etc.). I will be showing my top outfit pick for each type of wedding, some ways I wore similar outfits that would fit the theme, and of course, shopping links for you! Typically when you hear of a black-tie wedding, you think of floor length black gown, right? That doesn’t have to be the case though! This past spring I wore a short maroon dress (similar to the one below) and loved it! I really like the modern take on the Little Black Dress in the outfit above – it’s chic, but unexpected and freshens up the black tie wedding stigma.

Pants to a wedding? I’m in! These types of weddings are typically your trendy, cool friends who will have a super chic and modern venue and killer guest list. Make your own statement with something unexpected – whether it’s this monochromatic pant set, a velvet slip dress, or embellished top and tulle skirt – the options are endless! This is the place to play into your inner fashionista!

This wedding is more casual, maybe a late afternoon and everything is probably Pinterest perfect. Keep your shoes comfortable in case you’re outside, or killing it on the dance floor, and wear a fun and flirty dress that you can re-wear after the wedding!
