Wear It Wednesday: 5 Ways to Style the Pajama Trend

Happy Wear It Wednesday! I missed the past couple of weeks of WIW tutorials due to fashion week, but I’m over the moon excited to share today’s styling tutorial with you!  The PJ/lingerie trend has been growing rapidly the past couple of years and I’m All.About.It. – I mean who doesn’t love being comfortable and basically wearing pajamas during the day? But let’s clear up one thing first – DO NOT actually wear your ratty pajamas or practically-sheer black leggings to the office.  You can easily find PJ trend pieces at almost any retailer, or I have converted a few vintage PJ pieces for day-use only. Let’s see how I styled PJ’s from the office to date night! xo

 1. The Office Pajamas

The easiest way to embrace the PJ trend at work is by wearing a silk shirt, add a kimono and stretchy dress pants. I tied my silk shirt around the waist for a “robe-like” belt and wore my new Amazon gold slides. This look is insanely comfy, easy to throw on and still chic for morning meetings.

 2. The Date-Night Pajamas

Mama Mia! I found this silk jumpsuit on Lulu’s and don’t want to take it off. I kept the entire look in a monochromatic blush tone for an elevated feel, and added my furry sandals, jeweled clutch and beaded belt. Can someone wine and dine me please?

3. The Girls-Night-Out Pajamas

At first glance, this outfit seems pretty daytime, but look again because I layered a lace bodysuit under these vintage floral culottes for a playful GNO look! I finished off the outfit with my favorite leather jacket and metallic accessories.

If you’re anything like me, I never want to get dressed on the weekend. I paired this vintage Ralph Lauren PJ top with distressed jeans, furry slides and a DIY turban scarf. Now who’s ready for hungover brunch? 😉

Not sure how to snazz up your slip dress? Layer it over a sheer or embellished top, belt it and add a denim jacket! I added oversized ear cuffs, platform heels and my favorite leopard clutch.
