Happy Wear It Wednesday! The past few weeks I’ve been doing clothing styling tutorials, so I wanted to switch things up and talk about jewelry today! Back in March, pretty soon after I started the WIW tutorials, I did 6 Ways to Stack Necklaces and it was a huge success. Earrings have really made a comeback the past couple of years, and since I love the earring stack trend so much, I wanted to include it in today’s WIW! I selected a handful of my favorite earrings from Maison Miru’s Ear Bar and I’m showing you five ways to stack earrings. All of Maison Miru’s earrings are super affordable and they are the perfect fit for the minimalist or the maximalist. And as you now know, I practically cover every open spot of skin with jewelry, so make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom for my SAK-approved ear stack! Let’s get to stacking! xo
1. The New “Stud” Stack
Say goodbye to your traditional rhinestone studs because there’s some new players this season. If you’re wanting to jazz up your earring stack, try a chain earring, an open hoop or these micro trinity studs. I’m obsessed with these open hoops because they’re the perfect size for my cartilage or tragus, but they also work really well in my regular lobe piercings. They’re super versatile and my new preferred “stud” in the stack!
2. The Themed Stack
Your ear stack doesn’t have to be boring – plan a theme! I fell in love with these X, O and Heart earrings (get it?) This stack is perfect for date night or a fun girls night out. On Maison Miru’s website, you can find plenty of other fun pieces to create a theme; I have a couple other funky pieces in my SAK stack below (you’ll fall in love with those too!)
3. The Cuff Stack
Hoops are the name of the game people. Layer up the mini hoops and even add some cuffs for extra dimension. Cuffs can be your secret weapon with ear stacks if you don’t have any piercings or just a couple. Add them to the middle of your ear, the helix, the tragus or rook and you’ll look like a ear stacking queen in no time.
4. The Minimalist Stack
I’m a maximalist at heart, but I know there’s a good portion of you out there that are a minimalist. It’s okay, I don’t (completely) judge you. Kidding. For this minimalist stack, I opted for those more traditional studs – the trinity, the crystal studs and the bars. I love how these pieces create an interesting story, but are still dainty enough for everyday wear.
5. The Ultimate SAK Stack
I’ll take one order of the Ultimate SAK Stack please! Call me obsessed because I cannot get enough of these pieces. I layered these evil eye, lightning bolt and chain studs in my lobes, put an open hoop in my tragus piercing and then used two other open hoops as cuffs (GROUNDBREAKING) on the other un-pierced tragus. Next, I went a little cuff heavy. I layered two solid cuffs on one helix, added the infinite on the other, and stacked two eternity cuffs on the middle part of my ear. The last additions were the open hoop in my cartilage and the chain cuff below. Now that is what I call a SAK-approved stack!
Thank you Maison Miru for collaborating with me on this post!
