Sin City Chic: ‘Kendra’s Night Out’ Challenge

Kendra Thornton, travel advocate, TV spokesperson, and PR businesswoman, regularly shares her tips on planning, packing, and numerous other aspects of travel to millions of viewers every year on television stations across the country.

She is starting a new project on fashion as related to travel and invited yours truly to participate in her new challenge, ‘Kendra’s Night Out’! Here are some words from Kendra herself:

The Las Vegas Challenge
I’m about to enjoy some fun with friends in Sin City. I’ve been planning this adventure with the help of Gogobot, and I can’t wait to embark. One evening during our stay, we plan to have dinner at one of the world-class restaurants in the luxurious Vegas hotel known as the Bellagio before trying our luck at the opulent casino there. Of course, I want to look great on this incredible night out, so I’d like to get your opinion concerning what I should wear. To inspire your recommendations, check out the details concerning the restaurant where my friends and I will be dining that night.

Le Cirque
Bold, fantastic flavors are featured on Sirio Maccioni’s menu at Le Cirque in the Bellagio. Few restaurants ever achieve the AAA Five Diamond rating, but Le Cirque has received this rating 13 consecutive times. The restaurant’s décor, the work of interior designer Adam D. Tihany, mirrors the bold, jubilant nature of the menu selections. Additionally, Le Cirque offers an impeccable wine list, featuring coveted vintages from around the world. The well-trained wait staff caters to guests’ whims so that every diner at Le Cirque feels like a VIP. I can’t wait to enjoy this dinner in style.

Chic in the City
Styles in Las Vegas can be described as Sin City chic. This amazing city, build on an oasis in the desert features eclectic and tempting styles. People from all over the world come here to be entertained, and people from all walks of life will find something to enjoy during a stay in Las Vegas. Whether I’m sipping cocktails in a lounge, winning at the slots, savoring an exclusive dining experience, enjoying a show or dancing the night away, I will have a better time when I feel confident in the fashions I’m wearing. I can’t wait to find out what you recommend.”

Well Kendra, Simply Audree Kate is here to help you make your packing a little easier!

For a mom and business women in Sin City, it may be hard to find the balance between fun, appropriate, and trendy, but remember the golden rule is simplicity. Stick to neutrals and liven up the outfits with bold and colorful accessories like statement necklaces, bright heels and clutches!

Below are a few outfit options to spark your creativity and my must-haves for the perfect Vegas outfit.

When I think of vegas, I think of red. Le Cirque Restaurant is classified as bold and flavorful, and so should your outfit be when you dine there. I love the cut of this red dress because the length is incredible as well as the cinched waist does wonders for every woman’s body. The deep side cut on the collarbone adds just enough funk to balance out the long length. Pair with black and gold accessories and a nude Steve Madden Marlenne heel.

Whether you’re sipping on cocktails or winning the slots, a LBD is the way to go! This bandage nylon fabric is incredibly flattering while the cap sleeve and cut-outs add dimension and flare. Brighten up your dress with spring hues like pink and turquoise! Pops of these bold colors will make you stand out in the crowd and make you feel like a million dollars.

Feeling like SJP and need a third Vegas outfit? Glam up your night with a sequin peplum skirt, nude sheer blouse, and strappy heels. Keep the feminine vibe going with hot pink lips and a structured clutch. You can always throw a black crop blazer over the top for a transition from dinner to your night out.

Shopping and packing for a trip is always stressful but just remember it’s better to stick with neutrals (sequins are neutrals right?) and add pops of color!
