Phoenix Fashion Week 2016 Recap

Happy Sunday! I took a break from the blog last week to catch back up on life, but I’m excited to be back today!

My trip to Arizona was a lot of fun and definitely kept me busy. I spoke at the FIDM Business of Fashion seminar, styled a show at the Community Night at Phoenix Fashion Week and also caught up with some friends.

PHXFW x FIDM Business of Fashion Seminar

Friday Morning I had the opportunity to speak at the FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) Business of Fashion Seminar series. There were 9 different seminars during the weekend and I taught a seminar called, “How to Take Your Local Brand/Blog Global.” I was able to share how I grew my local Arizona blog to a global brand and business in New York City. It was a complete honor to share my story, share my industry insider tips and meet local entrepreneurs and bloggers.

Phoenix Fashion Week & #LoveUp Runway Show

Phoenix Fashion Week was my first fashion show I attended in Arizona and I was excited to go back to where it all started. The first night of fashion week was ‘Community Night’ which showcased local designers, students and also, the show I styled. John Jay and Rich, a local radio show duo started a charity called #LoveUp which focuses on paying it forward and benefiting foster families and pet adoption. The show featured local celebrities like news anchors, firemen and the radio hosts themselves, plus 10 agency models. Below you can see the model looks and a few snapshots, enjoy!
