There’s a few things that New York City is known for, and the food scene is definitely one of them. I’ve always been a self-proclaimed foodie – as in I like food and I eat a lot of it. I’ve never met a carb I didn’t like, and if I had the ability to create my own food group pyramid, it would consist of pizza, donuts, burgers and bacon. I’ve had a handful of friends and readers ask me NYC-related questions when they travel, so this summer I decided to start a mini food guide series! The next few Saturdays on the blog, I’ll be sharing my favorite pizza, bagel and coffee places in the city, as well as the best rooftop bars you should check out while visiting. Artichoke Pizza
Artichoke Pizza is by far my favorite pizza place in New York City. You haven’t experienced New York, or even really lived until you’ve tried their artichoke slice. Imagine artichoke dip covered in cheese, on top of garlic bread, with a dash of heaven. Sound amazing? I’ve been an Artichoke regular the past four years and it’s the number one place I recommend to anyone visiting. Even if artichokes aren’t your thing, the menu is filled with other tasty flavors – from vodka, crab or even Sicilian. It’s a must-eat if you’re looking for a slice!

Pizza Beach
What I love about Pizza Beach is that it has a relaxed, beachy, West Coast vibe! I really like that they have thin crust pizzas and it’s a great place for date night. I have a location right next to my apartment and it’s always poppin’ at night when I walk past!

Bleecker Street Pizza
What more could you want than an authentic Tuscan style pizza that is created from a recipe passed down from generation to generation? Bleecker Street Pizza is one of my favorites due to its large slices, amazing prices, and unforgettable flavor. The line is long to get inside, but definitely worth it!

Stage Door Pizza
The great thing about Stage Door is that it’s located inside a little Jewish Deli and is very close to the World Trade Center – an ideal location in the financial district! Stage Door offers everything from traditional pies and nontraditional flavors, which is what I personally love about it!

It is well-known that this is some of the best pizza in New York City! The wall is covered with pictures of famous guests and it’s a very “New Yorker” place to stop by for a quick slice!
