ICYMI: JANUARY

How is it already February? I feel like 2018 is zooming by and I haven’t even had a chance to process it. Today I wanted to share my “In Case You Missed It” January post. The year started out with a full schedule of work photoshoots that I was either styling or assisting on, blog collaborations and catching up with friends. Pretty early in the month, I was presented with the incredible opportunity to visit Hong Kong Fashion Week. Hong Kong Fashion Week is hosted by The Hong Kong Trade Development council, and they invited press to meet four designers who would be presenting at New York Fashion Week in February. I attended the trip for StyleCaster.com (where I’m the freelance fashion editor – read my articles here), and the trip was nothing short of amazing.

It was my first time in Hong Kong, or Asia for that matter and I loved experiencing a new culture and place completely on my own. Below I’m sharing a ton of pictures from the trip, and I think my favorite part was all of the colorful building. During my week in Hong Kong, I attended fashion shows, the trade show fair (with over 1,000 exhibitors), industry and trend forecasting seminars, and personally met the designers. When I wasn’t working, I explored the street fairs around the city, ate a LOT of food, shopped and walked around. It was a really cool city and I’m glad I had this amazing opportunity to experience it.

Once I got back from Hong Kong, I jumped back into work. I had a handful of shoots with Alice + Olivia and other brands I work with, I attended a Revlon beauty conference, created a handful of Valentine’s Day content for the blog (see them all here, here, here and here), and even managed to hang out with some friends. It was a crazy busy month, and I can’t wait to see what February has in store! xo
