Cheers to 7 Years of Simply Audree Kate

It is honestly a little hard to put my head around the fact that this week marks seven years of Simply Audree Kate. I launched Simply Audree Kate in 2012 after my freshman year of college as a digital portfolio and resume to help me land an internship in the fashion industry. I posted DIY sewing tutorials and hacks, styled photoshoots and my “Outfit of the Day.” It has since evolved into my career, a business and community for like-minded individuals.

Growing up fashion never seemed like a realistic career path or even an attainable goal. The industry has been deemed frivolous or superficial but my mission entering the fashion industry was to create a more welcoming space for the regular consumer. I wanted to celebrate women (and men), help them express their confidence through clothing, and have fun getting dressed. Clothing is intertwined into our daily lives and I believe that a good outfit can help you have a great day.

I have loved creating my small little space in the internet over the past seven years and developing my personal style, brand and career. I credit Simply Audree Kate to helping me land my editorial internship at Redbook, giving me the confidence to move to New York after college and connecting with so many like-minded professionals.

During the past seven years I have have reached some pretty incredible life milestones from graduating college, moving to New York, starting three (!) businesses, all while continuing to grow the Simply Audree Kate brand. I have had the opportunity to work with some “pinch-me-moment” brands like Olay, Starbucks, Coach, Neutrogena, Levis, Dove, Dooney & Bourke, and Pantene, travel the world and most recently launch two digital magazines.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Whether you’ve been in the SAK fam for one day, or seven years, thank you. Thank you for joining my community, celebrating fashion and always playing dress up. xo
