Buttoned Up

The past year I’ve really gotten into denim. Denim jackets, dresses, shirts, you name it – I want it. I’ve been on the hunt for a retro front-buttoned flare denim skirt recently, and I found the perfect one at Gap! I hate when denim is super stiff or too thick to move around in. This skirt is actually 99% cotton, with just 1% Spandex, which is great because it makes it moveable and hugs my curves without feeling suffocated. I’ve practically been living in this skirt since I got it in the mail a couple weeks ago – it goes with everything , it has pockets (praise hand emojis), and it’s honestly too damn hot to wear anything else right now.

We took these photos in Millennium Park and the rain had just stopped about 10 minutes before we started shooting. Hence the frizzy, mop of hair I have going on in the pics! But I love this outfit and it’s follows along with my packing checklist for trips – I pack a lot of neutrals with just a few accessories like bandanas, scarves and statement jewelry to spice things up! I used to overpack a lot of unnecessary items or pieces that wouldn’t match anything else in my suitcase. I then started only packing pieces that would interchange with everything else in the bag, or that I could wear multiple times throughout the trip. It makes my life so much easier knowing that I still have the option to change around outfits if I want to last minute, but I have all of my basics readily available. Do you have any packing or traveling hacks? I’d love to hear what your tips and tricks are for having a seamless travel or packing experience – comment below! xo

Thank you for another fantastic article. Where else could anybody get that type of information in such an ideal way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.
