Bay Blue Jeans

San Francisco summers are nothing like Arizona, but I was excited to dig up my leather jacket again and even rock my new Zara boyfriend jeans for the weekend. The weather the first day in the city was slightly breezy, but the rest of the trip was super nice! But of course, I don’t even really need to state the obvious, but I’m wearing stripes again (oops). I have talked a handful of times on the blog how my style has changed the past year and I definitely think it’s becoming more city-slicker, or I’m at least pretending. I gravitate towards neutrals and simple silhouettes more often than not, but I have also discovered three things to keep my wardrobe fresh and not a ho-hum concrete bore.

  • Accessorize! From chunky and unique jewelry, to hats and pops of color in lipstick and shoes. You can completely transform an outfit with just a few accessories.
  • Layer: Adding dimension to an outfit can make it more interesting. Add a jacket, a stack of necklaces or bracelets or even thin shirts to create an edgier or more season appropriate outfit.
  • Structure: I personally love loose clothing or anything flowy but it also makes me lose my body shape so make sure structure your outfit with at least one fitted piece like a fitted leather jacket, belt around your waist or balance a flowy blouse with skinny jeans or a geometric and tough heel. Balance will help keep you looking sleek and professional.
