Back to Basics with Everlane

Now that fashion week is over—get me back to the basics. I’m a maximalist at heart, but I tend to elevate a lot of core pieces in my wardrobe on a daily basis. Since I have a really active work life with styling and being on set, I gravitate towards moveable, comfortable items like jeans, cotton shirts and comfortable shoes—and then spice things up with fun accessories and outerwear.

Earlier this month Everlane sent me their “Basic Kit,” and it has been a lifesaver. The box had everything I could need: Women’s Cotton V-Neck, Women’s Cheeky Straight Jean, The Bodysuit, and Women’s Day High Heel, and it was the perfect basics refresh for the new season.

I’ve always been a fan of Everlane because they know how to do basics right. Everlane’s basics last a long time, are made in ethical factories, and the company is radically transparent. When I heard about their “Basic Kit,” I had to try it out for myself.

I instantly fell in love with the white v-neck and black bodysuit. They are two classic pieces every woman needs in her closet, and they will be on repeat from here on out. My favorite item in the Basic Kit are “Cheeky Straight Jean.” These jeans have the perfect amount of stretch, they come in multiple lengths, and they are genuinely comfortable! I have a hard time finding a jean that fits my curves, that is 100% comfortable, but I think I just found it!

Lastly, I was able to try “The Day High Heel.” I’m not the biggest heel girl, on most days you’ll find me wearing sneakers or booties because I’m running around, but these are the heels will be a regular addition to my wardrobe. The Day High Heel is fashionable, durable, and most importantly, comfortable. Catch me around the city in these at all times!

Now that we have covered the basics…let’s see how I dress up each of my Everlane basics.
