A Day in Notting Hill

One of my favorite days in London was spent in Notting Hill. Notting Hill is a trendy neighborhood known for large colorful Victorian townhouses and shopping. We started off the morning at a little cafe, went to the The Notting Hill Bookstore (the inspiration for Hugh Grant’s bookstore in the film “Notting Hill”) and then ventured off to St. Luke’s Mews to shoot today’s look! I also just realized today that the pink house photographed in the photos is the same pink house in “Love Actually” – who knew!

Personally for me, when I travel, I prefer to do more “local” things and enjoy the different neighborhoods, and eat, drink and hang out; and then I try and pack all the big touristy things into one day. I just don’t want to feel like the entire trip is filled with lines, crowds and tourists so I try and balance everything out. What about you guys?
