Wear It Wednesday: 6 Ways to Stack Necklaces

Happy Wear It Wednesday! If you have been following my blog for a hot minute, you have probably noticed by now that I wear a lot of jewelry. Earlier this year I wrote a story about my silver jewelry collection – read here – and today I wanted to talk about necklaces! I have been wear statement necklaces, or layering my necklaces for quite some time now, and I never really feel like an outfit is complete without one. I know stacking bracelets or cuffs is pretty common and a good handful of you probably do this, but for today’s Wear It Wednesday styling tutorial, I am sharing six different ways to spice up your jewelry box! You’ll see everything from my favorite and most worn stack called ‘The Audree’ to a simple way to layer your dainty necklaces. You can even shop some of these pieces in the links below. Happy necklace stacking! xo

1. The AudreeSimplyAudreeKate.WIW.Necklaces.1

You know I love silver jewelry and vintage/western vibes – so I call this one “The Audree”. I have paired two of my newer favorite chokers with my go-to bib statement necklace. This combo can instantly elevate any tee or button-up and add a little rock n’roll punch.

2. The Updated Bolo Tie

Take your classic rope choker and tie around your neck three times and tie in the back of your neck. At the bottom of the chokers, tie a thicker ribbon or choker in a bow. You can tie off to the side for a Parisian feel, or keep in the front for an updated, feminine bolo tie.

3. The Choker StackSimplyAudreeKate.WIW.Necklaces.5

A simple way to dress up a simple metal choker, is by staking two! I layered my two favorite vintage chokers and it instantly created a more dramatic and fashion-forward necklace. I love this look!

4. The Dainty StackSimplyAudreeKate.WIW.Necklaces.4

Layering dainty necklaces has been a popular jewelry trend for a few years now, but I love taking this trend to the next level by mixing up the lengths in necklaces. I took a simple gold chain on top, added my ‘A’ necklace, a vintage lariat loop-through necklace and my new Y-necklace to top off the look. You can make this stack as dramatic or simple as your want and it will add interest to your outfit without overpowering the look in general.

5. The Pendant Stack

This is a fun combo for any jewelry aficionado! Layer a handful of statement pendant necklaces and it can really play up a simple outfit. Talk about a conversation starter!

5. The Party StackSimplyAudreeKate.WIW.Necklaces.6

I can just feel myself wearing this stack to a cocktail party or girls night out! Take a choker and pair it with a statement necklace – this is fairly similar to ‘The Audree,’ but the statement necklace is shorter and more colorful.  I love how playful this look is and pairs great with a LBD at night, or your denim duds for spring!
