On the Spring/Summer ’17 runways this year, we saw accessories get an elevated twist with retro-inspired glasses, platform heels, statement handles on bags, and super-sized earrings. Sunglasses are back and bigger than ever! On the runway we saw 70’s glam sunglasses, and let me just say the bigger the better! Glam glasses will add a fun and flirty feel to any outfit you wear this Spring/Summer!

I know what you’re thinking. Kitten Heels? They’re fashionable? I will be the first to admit that I hate most kitten heels, but I loved the way that most brands spiced up this outdated style with quirky heels, super feminine embellishments and fun straps. Who wouldn’t want to trade out your uncomfortable sky-high stilletos for something just as cute, but definitely more wearable. Shop my favorite styles below!

There are fun purses galore this season! One of my favorite things designers did with purses this year was make the handles interesting and unique! Who wants a classic two strap shoulder bag when you can have a giant metal bangle or wood/studded handle. Talk about a conversation starter!

A super sized hoop earring is something that every girl needs in her jewelry box this season! Hoops are bigger, more retro, and will be your go-to statement accessory. We saw that last season that earrings were making a comeback with chandelier and mismatch styles, but I’m really loving how hoops make for a perfect beachy, effortless spring and summer look.

Now the polar opposite of kitten heels, platforms! The runway took inspiration from early century Venice and added some killer platforms to fashion this season. Platforms are an easy and fun way to wear a large heel without killing your feet. I don’t care what style you get (sandals, heels or strappy shoe)– platforms are something you must add to your wardrobe this season!
