Outfits Inspired by Places We Wish We Were Traveling To

Being stuck at home during quarantine has given me a MAJOR case of the travel bug. Sadly, with so many travel restrictions and uncertainties, it’s looking like an at-home ‘staycation’ is the closest I’m going to get to a summer adventure. If you’re anything like me and are dying to get out and see the world right now, here are some outfit ideas that will touch our favorite vacation destinations!

Tulum has been an increasingly popular vacation destination in recent years, and it’s no wonder why! Its beautiful beaches and jungle landscape will make you feel like you’re on a tropical island somewhere– but for a much more affordable price! Since most of us won’t be able to travel this summer, here’s a way to bring Tulum to you.

Go for the effortless beach look by pairing some white linen pants with a light, summery beach top. Throw on a straw hat and a wicker handbag and you’ve got yourself a look that will make your quarantine ‘staycation’ feel like a tropical beach vacation!

South of France

After months trapped in the house, all I can think about is chilling on a balcony in France and sipping coffee while admiring the Eiffel Tower’s view. Even if all you can do is daydream about Paris right now, you can still achieve the effortless Parisian look from home!

For this look, less is more! Pair a simple button-up top with a pair of wide-leg pants or Bermuda shorts. Add a vintage handbag and a simple gold medallion necklace to complete the look!

An island getaway would be the perfect cure for the post-quarantine blues, but lounging at home by the pool will have to do. The good news is, these vibrant looks are always in style for summer. An oversized smock dress is guaranteed to make you feel like you’re lounging on the Maldives beach. Throw in the biggest straw hat you can find for an extra touch of island-style.

When in Rome, dress as the Romans do. When at home, bring a little piece of Rome to you! Italians are all about romance, so what better way to dress like we’re on a Roman vacation than with a romantic-style look. Romantic style typically involves flirty, floral tops and dresses decorated with ruffled detailing. Add a red lip and some simple gold hoops for an extra Italian touch!

Sadly, I won’t be checking Thailand off my bucket list this summer. But while I’m daydreaming about exploring the country’s beautiful jungles and beaches, I’ll be rocking the perfect look for a Thailand adventure. Nothing says Thailand like handmade wicker accessories. Luckily, you don’t have to travel across the world to get your hands on one of these gorgeous pieces. Pair your wicker bag or hat with a lightweight fit that’s perfect for a hot summer day.
