Happy Saturday loves! Today I am sharing my NYC Rooftop Bar Guide! It’s summer in the city and there is nothing I love more than a good rooftop bar. These bars are the perfect treat after a long day at work or a busy week. If you find yourself in the city this summer I urge you to go to one of these places! The drinks are great and the views are even better! xo

REFINERY ROOFTOP

Audree’s Favorites:

Refinery Rooftop

Refinery Rooftop is one of my favorite places in the city! This rooftop bar is at the top of Refinery Hotel in midtown, and one of the coolest post-work rooftop bars for New Yorkers (as shown in the first two pics). When you enter the bar area, the ceiling is a glass roof covered in dainty bistro lights and has a long wooden bench area. You can go out to the deck area with couches to enjoy your cocktail with a killer view of the Empire State Building.

POD 39

Pod 39 is definitely one of my favorite rooftop bars! It’s at the top of Pod39 hotel, which also has Salvation Taco in the lobby! My friends and I will eat at Salvation Taco and then head up to the rooftop for margaritas on the rooftop. It’s a cute little quaint area with a single bar, little tables and a great view of the city. It’s an open roof with unique brick and piller walls; it has a very spanish vibe to it!

RARE View Rooftop Chelsea

I went to RARE for the first time for a friend’s birthday about a year ago and fell in love! It’s a great place to day drink and hang out with a large group of friends. The rooftop is very spacious, which is rare in New York (get it?). They also enclose the roof during the colder season so you can still hang out at your favorite spot year-around.

Gallow Green

I LOVE Gallow Green! It’s a little hidden gem in NYC. It’s a large rooftop area covered in greenery, multiple bars and tons of seating options. It’s the perfect mix if you have a group of friends, or you want a more intimate date night. Inside the McKittrick Hotel, is a jazz bar called Manderley Bar, The Heath – a dining room and and late night dance party speakeasy, and Sleep No More! Sleep No More is a theatrical Shakespeare experience where guests walk around various rooms to see the play.

GALLOW GREEN

Mr. Purple

Mr. Purple is a 20-something crowd favorite in New York. I have many friends that go there for day drinking, or even a night out. It has a a cool indoor bar area, outdoor bar and pool area. The line is normally long to get in, but worth it! If you’re looking to have a fun night out, great music and even better rooftop pics, Mr. Purple is it!
