Juicy Couture Tracksuits Vs. Sweatsuits Today

Fashion as a whole is an evolution. It’s continuous-time capsules that bring us history, nostalgia, and helps us express our creativity. There are pieces we’ve gladly left in the past, pieces that conform to modern-day attire, and then there are iconic pieces that will always be remembered and circle back around. Speaking of iconic pieces, something that we will never forget is Juicy Couture Tracksuits. For most of us, these were our childhood and made up so many memories. We may not always consider them stylish nowadays, but we’ve got a soft spot for them. Any early 2000’s rom-com lover could agree. From Regina George to the Cheetah Girls, to Paris and Brittany, our favorite leading ladies have rocked a Juicy Couture tracksuit. Even though the beloved Juicy tracksuit makes an appearance here and there, it’s safe to say baggy sweats are the new set. Many of our style icons, including the Biebers or Kardashians, can be seen wearing these and making them chic and high fashion. But the real question is, are these two even comparable, or are they in their category? We love both and are curious to see how they continue to cycle through the fashion scene.

Juicy Couture Track Suit

Like we mentioned, one word to describe this infamous set is iconic. The Juicy Couture tracksuit shaped a generation of fashionistas. The matching set isn’t the most flattering and may be considered regrettable to some, but you can’t deny the power it has. Although we can agree that we don’t love the low-rise look, velour tracksuits are still a thing. For those who don’t mind making a fashion statement, there is a new and improved Juicy (or knock-off) suit out there.

Modern Sweatsuits

Much like the Juicy Couture Tracksuit, today’s sweatsuits are a staple within everyone’s closets. As times have especially changed to comfort over anything, these sets have gained extreme popularity. We can admit the sweatsuit style is more versatile as far as fabric goes, and ways to style them. During quarantine, many took it upon themselves to DIY their suits. That included tie-dye, cropping, bleach, and so much more. We’re into the simplicity that comes with the convenience of throwing on your favorite pair of sweats, but we also love that you can dress them up to be more chic and classy. Will sweatsuits and comfort survive the trail of time? Or will they rest in the back of our closets like our beloved Juicy Couture Tracksuits? We’ll see in a few years!
