Best Dupes for the Savvy Spending Sneaker-Head

Throughout everyone’s fashion journey, we all have come to terms with the fact that shoes are an investment. Whether it be a pair of heels you got for your birthday bash, or the $200 Tory Burch Miller sandal, or the chunky trendy sneakers you’ve been eyeing, shoes can get expensive quickly.

And for what? So I can walk around in overpriced and (usually) uncomfortable shoes that are going to ruined anyway? The answer is yes; I would do that for the love of fashion. However, my wallet doesn’t seem to always agree with my reasons. If you and your wallet have the same grievances as mine, below are the best dupes for designer sneakers.

Balenciaga Triple S Sneakers

You may be living under a rock if you haven’t seen this shoe in stores, on Instagram, or in person. This shoe is the epitome of the white sneaker and is arguably the shoe that ignited the resurgence of the ‘chunky dad sneaker’ trend. However cute these are, I cannot afford to spend $995 on one pair of sneakers.

Thankfully due to their popularity, there are a ton of dupes you can check out. The most expensive dupe is the Adidas Falcon Athletic Sneakers $100, where you can save $895 by only spending $100 for this pair. Coming in second for the cheapest option is the Reebok Aztrek Double Mix that will cost you $90. Lastly, the least expensive dupe is the Steve Madden Movement Sneaker. For just $80, you can (kind of) look like you just walked off the Balenciaga runway.

Alexander McQueen Oversized Sole Sneakers

Having come out last year, the Alexander McQueen Oversized Sole sneakers have taken their place among the chunky white shoe empire. This sneaker put a twist on the generic asymmetric and uneven silhouette of the shoe, and instead went for a sleek, futuristic look.

Unlike their Balenciaga Triple S sneaker dupe, Steve Madden’s McQueen dupe is coming in at the number one most expensive alternative. Priced at $110, Steve Madden’s Glazed sneaker looks like the original, except for the small black stripe on the tongue of the shoe. As the second cheapest option, Topshop’s Cyrus White Studded Sneaker will cost you $60. However, these dupes imitate the pair of Oversized Sole sneakers studded with a metallic backing instead of a black one. Lastly, the cheapest and most accurate lookalike is the ASOS Doro Chunky Lace-up Sneakers you can buy for $45.

Golden Goose Sneakers

From being purposefully scuffed up to so many sparkles and stars that you can see them coming from a mile away, Golden Goose sneakers are one-of-a-kind. That is unless you get a dupe that’s almost exactly like it.

The first brand you can find these cheaper options at is Room of Fashion. This site has multiple versions of popular Golden Goose inspired sneakers. They would only cost you $40, and you can find this brand at Walmart stores and online. For that same price, you can also get the Two-Tone Star Lace-up Fashion Sneakers on Amazon from the brand Nature Breeze. As the most expensive, but probably the highest quality dupe, is Steve Madden’s Rezza Sneaker. For $115, this Golden Goose lookalike could be yours, along with some other sneakers they offer that look like different styles of Gooses.
