Bachelorette Weekend: Arseña’s Final Fiesta!

No time for a siesta, it’s Arseña’s Final Fiesta!

The past few months I have been talking non-stop about my sister’s bachelorette party! I am Maid-of-Honor for the wedding; but since I now live across the country, I haven’t been able to participate in many wedding planning procedures or appointments. So, I was really excited for this weekend because it falls under MOH duty, plus I couldn’t wait to spoil Arseña!

I started planning a few months ago and we first decided on hosting the weekend in Arizona. Most of the guests would be traveling, and we figured we knew AZ was a good meeting point, plus I could easily plan everything while in NYC. The next step was to figure out the theme! (*So a little background* Arseña and myself are both Mexican; and her fiancé is an amazing, white mid-west guy.) Eventually, “The Final Fiesta” was created- it was her last fling with her hispanic last name; plus a Southwestern fiesta in Arizona just seemed like the perfect fit!

I booked the weekend at The Saguaro Hotel, an ideal little Southwestern vacation spot with vibrant colors and in close proximity to everything in Old Town Scottsdale. The itinerary for the weekend followed:

Friday Night: Girls Night In! We first went to the hotel restaurant to Make-Your-Own Guacamole and have a delicious dinner. Next, we retired to the hotel suite for a DIY Margarita bar sponsored by Powell & Mahoney. Arseña opened gifts (thank you Soma for mine!) and we hung out for a bit before going to the bars next door.

Saturday Day: Pool day! We woke up and made bloody mary’s  (c/o Powell & Mahoney) and headed to our cabana at the pool. We hung out, drank way too many Palm Breeze and Jarritos – the perfect summer drinks BTW – and got a little sunshine! Later that afternoon we did a private Tequila Tasting at the hotel, and devoured some delicious pizza from Jimmy & Joe’s Pizzeria! That evening we went to Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row bar for our table/bottle service. Such a fun-filled day!

If you’re looking for easy transportation for your bachelorette party group, use Limo Find, a nationwide limo and bus rental provider. (They’re in every state!) Take the headache of figuring out your ride during the weekend and book with Limo Find!

Throughout the entire week I’ll be sharing everything on the blog: Friday night, Saturday, our outfits, etc. You definitely won’t want to miss it – it’s a fiesta for crying out loud!

Today’s blog post is featuring my sister shoot with Brooke Marcella Photography before the festivities kicked off. You can see the handmade invites each guest received c/o of GingerBride House, the bachelorette party survival kits for each guest on her bed (sombreros, Starbucks and more!), and our super adorable sleep masks from The Sleepy Cottage, and shirts from Ali & Ariel! Also, this week you’ll get a full recap on all the INCREDIBLE decor, swag and more from Oriental Trading. They seriously outdid themselves to make this fiesta one for the books!

So grab a marg, kick back and let the fiesta begin!
